finally worked on a proper piece/ref of my character max :)

sketch below, includes some bonus expressions i got bored of practicing

there's a minimal ref as well in the submission post, but honestly i'm just happy i actually made something that isnt a song or a sharp angled piece of graphic design. feel like im getting better at drawing characters tbh, though expressions and posing definitely needs work

this rendition was very much inspired by the request i gave r3dbox to draw max

factoids copied from the submission:

• his species is ambiguous, can be depicted as a cat or a dog
• he has no known last name, mostly because lazy
• perpetually single, impulsive, constant bad flirt
• insists that he's not a furry, just a dude with a tail
• hair is much longer without the beanie, never comes off
• this is literally just me with ears
