I've been so distant lately! I've been working my butt off and hoh boy have I neglected maxposting for a while,,,,,, I'm sorry! Well it's time for a big general update, strap in lads. Happy late New Year, Merry Late Christmas etc etc God bless

MAX MUSIC NEWS!

Firstly a music update! If y'all haven't seen I uploaded two bangin' tracks (and a meme third but dw bout that) since my last update..

Experimented with some cover art styles for these two, fell on this lil' piece here.

What can I say? I like dithering.

For the future of music, I've somewhat neglected my usual daily routine of making and hoarding demos.. I have somewhere in the ballpark of 400(?) or so songs of varying levels of completion, I think I could do something with a big portion of these.. But I also wanted to give a little bit of control to y'all - How should I release these? Official album with distribution and bells and whistles or just a big compilation of free stuff like I've been doing? Lemme know..

On the physical side of things, I've invested way more in hardware synths since Christmas of '23.. Started with my coveted need for the 1998 rackmounted synthesizer from Roland, the JP-8080. The rack soon evolved to a slight obsession and money pit, leading to me also obtaining a Roland Super JD-990 (from 1993) and a Korg MS2000BR.. As much as I love these particular units, I'm most likely going to part with the MS2000BR and the JD-990 in favor of a fully kitted out Roland XV-5080 (from 2000).. The JP-8080 is famous for popularizing the supersaw as a staple of early 2000s electronic music, one of the most famous examples being used in Darude's Sandstorm, or the Half Life 1&2 soundtracks. The JD-990 had been used famously by The Prodigy (among many many others) to produce synths off tons of their records from '93 to present day. The Korg MS2000BR.... was an impulse buy lololol.. I also got one of them newfangled Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O. II devices..... I love it but I'm not attached, probably going to go as well! Below are some pics of the amalgamation all put together.

As much as I fought to get a 990, the XV-5080 is so much more powerful and budget friendly for the time being.. One day I'll have them all... I also invested in an Anyma Omega 16-voice polyphonic physical modeling synth, hence the need to free up my incredibly dwindling budget. Hope it's worth the hype when it arrives B)

Also saw that my track BOMBSQUAD is gettin' more attention after having it be used in a killer GD level by rafabirds! Check it out.....

I'll never get used to how f'n cool these are..

Thanks y'all for sticking around despite my lack of updates and postings, I'll try to be less of a dumb bih next time! Other life stuff include getting a different job at my old music store, seeing a very lovely and good friend pup this coming February, making attempts to wake up earlier, etc! Also taking applications for a hot partner, must enjoy sleeping and making funny noises, references not necessary, preferably a cartoon character shorter than me IRL.
